MADONNA OP ZATERDAG 7 JULI IN ZIGGO DOME AMSTERDAM

Madonna geeft op zaterdag 7 juli een concert in Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. De kaartverkoop start aanstaande zaterdag om 10.00 uur.

Madonna geeft een geweldig feest en iedereen is uitgenodigd. Live Nation Entertainment, de internationale promotor, heeft officeel aangekondigd dat de Madonna 2012 World Tour op 29 mei begint in Tel Aviv in Israël. De show zal diverse concertzalen, stadions en buitenlocaties aandoen, waaronder bijvoorbeeld de Plains of Abraham in Quebec. Ook zal de tour Zuid-Amerika en Australië aandoen, waar Madonna de laatste 20 jaar niet heeft opgetreden. Deze tour vindt plaats in 26 Europese steden, waaronder Londen, Parijs, Milaan, Berlijn en zo ook Amsterdam op zaterdag 7 juli.

De ongelooflijk succesvolle Sticky & Sweet tournee van Madonna bevestigde haar status als een van succesvolste internationale artiesten ooit. Deze historische tour bevatte onder meer hoogtepunten zoals 70.000 kaarten voor het uitverkochte concert in Werchter, België, 76.000 in Helsinki (de grootste show ooit gegeven in Finland door een solo-artiest), 40.000 tickets in Oslo en 72.000 kaarten in één dag uitverkocht in Tallinn in Estland. Nog enkele andere internationale records waren: 650.000 tickets voor de reeks concerten in Zuid-Amerika, 72.000 voor het Dübendorf vliegveld in Zürich – het grootste publiek dat ooit tegelijkertijd bijeenkwam in Zwitserland, 75.000 verkochte tickets in Londen en vier uitverkochte concerten in Madison Square Garden in New York (60.364 kaarten).

De aankondiging van de wereldtournee van Madonna 2012 komt in een spectaculaire week, met als hoogtepunten Madonna’s optreden tijdens de pauze van de Super Bowl in de VS en haar nieuwe single, “Give Me All Your Luvin” afkomstig van haar nieuwste album MDNA, die wordt uitgebracht bij Live Nation Entertainment/Interscope Records op 26 maart. MDNA staat al op nummer één in iTunes in heel veel landen, waaronder de VS, Groot-Britannië, Duitsland, Frankrijk, Spanje, Canada, Italië, Zweden en Nederland. De videoclip van deze single, waarin ook Nicki Minaj en MIA een hoofdrol spelen, werd eveneens uitgebracht en voor het eerst vertoond bij American Idols. Daarnaast vond de première plaats van de door Madonna geregisseerde film “W.E.”, die een Golden Globe won, in New York en Los Angeles en zullen andere landen en steden later deze maand volgen.

“Madonna’s status als een entertainer van wereldklasse en rasartiest behoeft geen verdere uitleg. Haar artisticiteit, talent en creatieve producties worden met elke tournee steeds groter en beter. En Madonna 2012 is hierop geen uitzondering. Gedurende haar carrière heeft Madonna een recordaantal van 37 Top 10 hits in de Billboard Hot 100 Single Chart behaald en een recordaantal van 40 nummer 1 hits in de Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs Chart. Geen een andere artiest heeft dit kunnen overtreffen. Madonna heeft ruim 300 miljoen albums verkocht en houdt het record voor de succesvolste tournee van een solo-artiest ooit gehouden. Als vocalist en songwriter heeft Madonna zeven Grammy’s gewonnen, is ze producer en is zij opgenomen in de Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Haar laatste cd, “Hard Candy”, kwam direct binnen op nummer één in 37 landen, waaronder de VS, Groot-Britannië, Canada, Frankrijk en Australië. De Madonna World Tour 2012 is de negende tournee van de Material Girl. Haar eerste tournee was de Virgin Tour in 1985.

Icon is de officiële fanclub van Madonna. Mensen die ‘Lifetime Legacy members’ zijn van Icon, ontvangen als eerste een uitnodiging om op 7 februari een kaart of een VIP-arrangement te kopen. Geregistreerde Icon-leden worden ook als eerste in de gelegenheid gesteld om een ‘Icon Live Pass’ te kopen, waarmee zij toegang hebben tot de voorverkoop van kaarten en VIP-arrangementen, en eveneens voor een forum rondom de tournee en een exclusief tourneecadeau. iPhone 4 is dunner en heeft beter scherm

Apple-ceo Steve Jobs heeft de iPhone 4 gepresenteerd. Het toestel is 24 procent dunner en heeft een scherper scherm. Ook kan hij videobellen maar alleen via WiFi en met andere iPhones.

Apple-ceo Steve Jobs heeft maandagavond Nederlandse tijd op de opening van de Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco de nieuwe iPhone onthuld. De naam van het nieuwe toestel: iPhone 4. De nieuwe iPhone is slechts 9.3 mm dik, 24 procent dunner dan de huidige iPhone 3G (van 12.3 mm dik).

Antenne-rand
Voor het eerst is ook het ontwerp aangepast. De nieuwe iPhone heeft minder ronde hoeken, een platte glazen achterkant en een metalen zijkant. Die metalen band langs de randen doet dienst als antenne: de ene kant voor Bluetooth, WiFi-n en GPS en de andere kant voor UMTS (mobiel internet) en GSM.

De iPhone 4 heeft een scherper scherm gekregen die Jobs een 'Retina Display' noemt. De verbeterde schermtechniek levert een beelddichtheid van 329 pixels per inch (ppi), iets meer dan die in bijvoorbeeld Sony Ericssons X1. Volgens Jobs is 300 ppi de zichtbare limiet voor mensen op twintig centimeter afstand. "Deze schermtechniek zorgt voor zeer scherpe tekstweergave", aldus Jobs. Het scherm heeft ook een hogere resolutie dan de huidige iPhones: 960 bij 640 pixels. Dat is vier keer zoveel pixels als de huidige smartphones van Apple tonen.

Videobellen
De nieuwe smartphone van Apple heeft ook een camera aan de voorkant voor videobellen. Deze videobelfunctie heet FaceTime en werkt vooralsnog alleen via WiFi, aldus Jobs. FaceTime kan naast de nieuwe frontcamera ook de camera aan de achterkant gebruiken. FaceTime werkt voorlopig alleen met twee exemplaren van de iPhone 4. Videogesprekken voeren met andere telefoons is voorlopig niet mogelijk.

Het toestel heeft 16 of 32 GB opslagcapaciteit, en is vanaf 24 juni beschikbaar in de vijf eerste landen, in zwarte of witte uitvoering. De Amerikaanse prijzen bedragen 199 dollar voor het 16 GB-model en 299 dollar voor het 32 GB-model, bij een 2-jarig abonnement. De iPhone 4 is eind september in 88 landen te koop. In juli is het toestel in Nederland verkrijgbaar.

1GHz en gyroscoop
De iPhone 4 beschikt zoals al verwacht over Apple's zelf ontwikkelde A4-processor met een kloksnelheid van 1 GHz. Die chip zit ook al in de iPad. De 5 megapixel camera aan de achterkant heeft nu ook led-flits. Een tweede microfoon helpt bij het afschermen van achtergrondgeluid voor de persoon waarmee je belt. Nieuw is ook een gyroscoop. Samen met de accelerometer volgt het toestel nu bewegingen langs zes assen.

Ondanks al deze nieuwe snufjes is toch ook de batterijtijd van de nieuwe iPhone flink verlengd. De iPhone 4 vereist net als de 3G-uitvoering van de iPad een microsim. Die kleinere versie van de reguliere simkaart wordt inmiddels door alle Nederlandse providers geleverd.

iPhone OS 4.0
Verder zijn er ook meer details bekend gemaakt over iPhone OS 4.0, dat als nieuwe naam iOS 4 krijgt. Apple heeft die nieuwe versie van zijn mobiele besturingssysteem in april al aangekondigd. Het nieuwe systeem biedt de mogelijkheid tot multitasken, ook voor de iPhone 3G S, heeft folders om de wildgroei aan apps in te tomen en biedt meer beheerfeatures voor bedrijven. De update naar iOS 4 is vanaf 21 juni beschikbaar.

iAd
Jobs heeft ook advertentiesysteem iAd getoond. Zestig procent van de reclameinkomsten gaat naar ontwikkelaars. Grote adverteerders hebben al voor 60 miljoen dollar iAds ingekocht. Het advertentieprogramma start op 1 juli. Met iAds gaat Apple op mobiel reclamegebied de strijd aan met Google, dat op het web oppermachtig is wat betreft advertenties.

Apple verwacht na acht weken een marktaandeel van 48 procent op de mobiele advertentiemarkt. Grote bedrijven als Nissan, Citi, Unilever, AT&T, Chanel, Disney en Best Buy hebben zich al aangemeld voor iAd.

App Store en iPad
De App Store is vorige week de grens van 5 miljard downloads gepasseerd, vertelt de topman. Volgens Jobs zijn er nu 225.000 iPhone-apps. Wekelijks worden er 15.000 nieuwe apps ingediend. Apple keurt daarvan 95 procent goed binnen zeven dagen, aldus Jobs. Voor de iPad zijn nog 8500 exclusieve apps.

Per iPad hebben gebruikers gemiddeld al 17 apps gedownload. Ook hebben iPad-gebruikers in twee maanden tijd al vijf miljoen e-books gedownload. De iPad is zoals eerder aangekondigd vanaf eind juli ook in Nederland te koop.

Miljard dollar
Apple heeft tot op heden 1 miljard dollar aan ontwikkelaars van apps uitgekeerd. Jobs noemt dat cijfer "zijn favoriet". "We hebben de meest levendige ontwikkelgemeenschap ter wereld." In de Verenigde Staten heeft Apple met de iPhone volgens onderzoeksbureau Nielsen 28 procent van de smartphonemarkt in handen. Alleen de Blackberry van RIM (Research In Motion) heeft nog een groter aandeel, maar dat slinkt wel, terwijl dat van Apple groeit. Android van Google staat op 9 procent.

iPad vanaf juli in Nederland

De iPad is vanaf juli in Nederland te koop. Dit maakte Apple vandaag bekend. Het is nog onbekend wat de grote iPod moet gaan kosten.

De goedkoopste versie van het kleinood, met 16 gigabyte opslagruimte, moet in Spanje 479 euro opleveren. De 3G-versie met 64 gigabyte kost daar 779 euro. Het is echter nog niet bekend of Apple voor ons land dezelfde prijzen zal hanteren, zo meldt Tweakers.net. Vaak zijn Apple-producten in Spanje enkele tientjes goedkoper dan in Nederland.

De iPad is vanaf eind deze maand in diverse landen te koop, maar dit geldt niet voor onder meer Nederland en Belgixc3xab. Vanwege leveringsproblemen moest Apple de release van de iPad in diverse landen uitstellen.

De Finse mobieltjesfabrikant Nokia gaat in de rechtszaal de technologie voor de iPad aanvechten. Volgens Nokia heeft Apple vijf belangrijke patenten geschonden voor mobiele apparatuur. Onder meer de iPad 3G zou er gebruik van maken.

Schavuit van Oranje op tv-festival Monaco

AMSTERDAM -  Bernhard, Schavuit van Oranje, de vierdelige dramaserie van de VPRO, heeft drie nominaties in de wacht gesleept voor een prijs op het prestigieuze Monte Carlo Televisie Festival in Monaco. Dat heeft de VPRO donderdag bekendgemaakt.

Bernhard, Schavuit van Oranje maakt kans op een Golden Nymph voor de beste miniserie. Daan Schuurmans maakt met zijn rol als jonge Bernhard kans op de prijs voor beste acteur. Ellen Vogel dingt met haar rol als Juliana mee naar de prijs voor beste actrice. Het festival is van 6 tot en met 10 juni. Op de laatste dag wordt bekend of de serie in de prijzen is gevallen.

Bernhard, Schavuit van Oranje werd in januari uitgezonden. Het scenario werd geschreven door Tomas Ross.

Chantal Hanse Playmate of the Year 2009

In Art Gallery Taets werd gisteravond de winnares van de Playmate of the Year verkiezingen 2009 bekend gemaakt. And the winner is: Chantal Hanse! Een knappe prestatie, want de concurrentie was weer moordend.

Goede cocktails, veel champagne, een optreden van Valerius en uiteraard een zaal vol adembenemend mooie vrouwen waren de ingredixc3xabnten voor weer een onvergetelijke Playboy-avond. In de nieuwe Playboy, die vanaf 6 mei in de winkels ligt, komt een spetterende shoot met de winnares. Kopen dus.

Chantal Hanse gekroond tot Playmate van het Jaar

Te Land, ter Zee en in de Lucht keert terug op tv

Het is toch nog niet gedaan met Te Land, ter Zee en in de Lucht. Het langlopende Tros-programma maakt dit jaar namelijk zijn comeback op televisie, meldt Zappen.blog.nl. Overigens wel in gewijzigde vorm, want voortaan doen de Belgen ook mee op VTM. Door de co-productie worden de kosten gedrukt en is het makkelijker om Te Land, ter Zee en in de Lucht ook weer op de Nederlandse tv te krijgen.

De Tros gaf vorig jaar aan slachtoffer te zijn geworden van de grillen van de netmanager. Een jaar daarvoor moest de Tros al enkele afleveringen schrappen om nog een plekje op de Nederlandse televisie te bemachtigen.

Ook in 2010 is het nog geen vetpot; voorlopig worden er slechts vier afleveringen opgenomen: Tobbedansen, Fiets xe2x80x98m dxe2x80x99erin, Snel naar de Bel en Heen en Weer.

De Tros komt dit jaar overigens ook met het Stedenspel, de officieuze opvolger van Spel Zonder Grenzen. Dat wordt gepresenteerd door Yolanthe Cabau van Kasbergen en is vanaf half juli te zien. Wie de nieuwe serie van Te Land, ter Zee en in de Lucht presenteert is niet duidelijk.

Rolstoelvriendelijk rockfestival

LIEVING -  In het Drentse Lieving, nabij Beilen, wordt op 13 en 14 augustus een volledig rolstoelvriendelijk rockfestival gehouden. Dat zegt Hans van der Veen van de organisatie van het evenement, dat de naam Rock en Rollstoel heeft gekregen.

Volgens de organisatie is het het eerste rolstoelrockfestival in Nederland. xe2x80x9eAnderhalf jaar geleden kwam ik in een rolstoel terecht. Toen ik net als daarvoor naar festivals wilde, kwam ik erachter dat ze totaal niet rolstoelvriendelijk zijnxe2x80x9d, aldus Van der Veen.

Dat moet anders, vond hij. Op het festivalterrein in Lieving worden rijplaten gelegd, zodat rolstoelgebruikers niet vast komen te zitten in de modder. Ook komen er verhogingen voor de bars en oprijplaten voor als er een hoogteverschil overbrugd moet worden. Rolstoelgebruikers kunnen overnachten in bedden in legertenten en krijgen hulpverleners tot hun beschikking.

Cirque du Soleil komt met Jackson-show

AMSTERDAM -  Cirque du Soleil komt met een voorstelling die gebaseerd is op de muziek van Michael Jackson.

Cirque du Soleil gaat samenwerken met de nabestaanden van de King of Pop. Beide partijen hebben een aandeel van vijftig procent in de show.

De show gaat volgend jaar op wereldtournee en vestigt zich in 2012 in Las Vegas.

Cirque du Soleil maakte eerder een show rond Elvis Presley en The Beatles.

An arena-touring show is expected to debut in late Fall 2011 and a Las Vegas permanent show is expected to open in late 2012.

Special lifestyle projects, including a nightclub to open with the Las Vegas show, will also be developed.

Los Angeles (April 20, 2010) xe2x80x93 Two great forces in entertainment have combined with the announcement of an unprecedented arrangement between The Estate of Michael Jackson, represented by Executors John Branca and John McLain, and Cirque du Soleil for the creation, development, production and promotion of Michael Jackson projects, featuring touring and permanent shows, based on the music and songs of Michael Jackson.  Special lifestyle projects, including a nightclub to open with the Las Vegas production, will also be developed.

The first of these projects will be an arena-touring show in which fans will experience the excitement of a Michael Jackson concert, expected to debut in late Fall 2011. That arena show is anticipated to enjoy an extended run in Las Vegas in conjunction with longtime Cirque du Soleil partner MGM MIRAGE. The Las Vegas permanent show, also in partnership with MGM MIRAGE, is expected to open in late 2012. MGM MIRAGE will announce the location and plans for the permanent theatrical venue at a later date.

The Estate of Michael Jackson and Cirque du Soleil will each own 50 percent of each Michael Jackson project, sharing equally in the cost of creating, developing, building and producing the projects and in the profits from each project.  The Estate of Michael Jackson will also receive royalty payments on various aspects of its intellectual property used in the Michael Jackson projects.
